HIRING THE CLUB DOUBLE SKI • The Club’s Double Ski is available for hire. • One hirer must be BOTH a SIP Member and also a Woollahra Saling Club member (to gain access to the club) • Hire is $20 a session for 2 hours, FREE if you are paddling the Saturday Time Trial • A limit of 3 hirings a week per member, unless approved by application to the Committee • Availability (within WSC operating hours) can be checked and the booking/payment made) online https://www.sharkislandpaddlers.com.au/book-online • Emal +/- SMS confirmation will be notified to the hirer and Committee • To avoid disappointment, it would be best to give at least 24 hours’ notice. • Cancellations less than 24hrs prior to hire will still incur the hire fee given the booking made the boat ‘unavailable’ for others. • It is intended that the boat will be used from the Woollahra Sailing Club. Application for any special consideration must be made in advance to the Committee. • The ski is situated in the first row (closest to Vickery Ave) middle rack: B-11-01 • Provision of PFDs and paddles for both paddlers is the responsibility of the hirer, and wearing of the PFDs is mandatory • One paddle leash is provided: if leg leash/es or a second paddle leash is desired that is the responsibility of the hirer. MAINTENANCE AND DAMAGE • Hirers should check the boat for any damage prior to, and after, each session. • All damage must be reported immediately (verbally to a committee member AND in writing by email) or will be held to be the responsibility of the last hirer • Always wash the ski after use • Damage up to $1,000 is to be paid by the hirer • Damage >$1,000 will necessitate the hirer purchasing a replacement ski of the same model for SIP and they may repair/sell the damaged ski once that is done • Paddlers should not continue to use the boat if it will worsen the damage, or if it poses increased risk.
