RACE PROCEDURES

Race day procedures

This race is conducted at the same location as previous events. Whilst some race day procedures remain the same, some have changed as a result of COVID-19. Please note the following:

  • Competitors are to drop-off their craft and park elsewhere.

  • Do not cross New South Head Road with your craft.

  • Please respect the local residents and keep noise to a minimum.

  • There will be three Check-In lanes operating:

    • Long Course (Intermediates) = 0615–0715

    • Long Course (Competitive) = 0615–0715

    • Short Course, Doubles, SUPs, OCs, Kayaks = 0615–0730

  • Ensure you have the minimum safety equipment noted under the Rules: All Paddlers must wear a Level 50 Lifejacket and have a paddle leash (will be decided on day if required to be worn). All SUP’s must wear a leg leash

  • You must pass through the two flags on the beach when you enter the water. This is to record your race number and check minimum equipment

  • When you finish you must pass through the finish flags to have a recorded place.

  • There will be short post-race presentations at around 10am for both the Tingira Challenge and the Sydney Paddle Series (of which this is the third and final event).
